[Hanuman decides to praise Rama within Sita's earshot.]

hanumānapi vikrāntaḥ sarvaṅ śuśrāva tattvataḥ.

sītāyāstrijaṭāyāśca rākṣasīnāṅ ca tarjanam৷৷5.30.1৷৷


vikrāntaḥ valiant hero, hanumānapi Hanuman also, sītāyāśca Sita's, trijaṭāyāśca Trijata's, sarvam everything, rākṣasīnām she-demons, tarjanam threatening, tattvataḥ in principle, śuśrāva heard.

The valiant hero Hanuman heard everything including the lamentation of Sita and the dream of Trijata and the threats of the demonesses.
avēkṣamāṇastāṅ dēvīṅ dēvatāmiva nandanē.

tatō bahuvidhāṅ cintāṅ cintayāmāsa vānaraḥ৷৷5.30.2৷৷


tataḥ then, vānaraḥ vanara, nandanē in the Nandana garden, dēvatāmiva like the goddess, tāṅ dēvīm to that deity-like Sita, avēkṣamāṇaḥ looking, bahuvidhām many ways, cintām cintayāmāsa reflected.

The sight of Sita who seemed a deity in the Nandana garden of Indra, set a chain of reflections in his mind :
yāṅ kapīnāṅ sahasrāṇi subahūnyayutāni ca.

dikṣu sarvāsu mārgantē sēyamāsāditā mayā৷৷5.30.3৷৷


kapīnām of vanaras, subahūni many, sahasrāṇi thousands, ayutāni ca 10,000 soldiers sarvāsu all over, dikṣu in directions, yām whom, mārgantē are searching, sā iyam that Sita here, mayā by myself, āsāditā she is found.

"This is Sita whom thousands of vanaras are searching in all directions.
cārēṇa tu suyuktēna śatrōśśaktimavēkṣatā.

gūḍhēna caratā tāvadavēkṣitamidaṅ mayā৷৷5.30.4৷৷


suyuktēna very carefully, śatrōḥ enemy's, śaktimavēkṣatā while seeing the strength, gūḍhēna in disguise, caratā roaming, cārēṇa a spy, mayā by myself, idam this place, avēkṣitaṅ tāvat seen everything.

"Roaming everywhere incognito to ascertain carefully the strength of the enemy, I have seen everything.
rākṣasānāṅ viśēṣaśca purī cēyamavēkṣitā.

rākṣasādhipatērasya prabhāvō rāvaṇasya ca৷৷5.30.5৷৷


rākṣasānām of the demons, viśēṣaśca ability, iyam this, purī ca citadel also, avēkṣitā had been seen, asya its, rākṣasādhipatēḥ of the lord of demons, rāvaṇasya Ravana's, prabhāvaśca power also.

"I have seen the ability of the demons and the citadel of Lanka. I have seen the power of Ravana the demon king.
yuktaṅ tasyāpramēyasya sarvasattvadayāvataḥ.

samāśvāsayituṅ bhāryāṅ patidarśanakāṅkṣiṇīm৷৷5.30.6৷৷


sarvasattvadayāvataḥ who is compassionate to all, apramēyasya man of immeasureable prowess, tasya his, patidarśanakāṅkṣiṇīm longing to see her husband, bhāryām wife, samāśvāsayitum to console yuktam is the right action.

"It is the opportune time for me to comfort Sita eagerly waiting to see her husband who is of immeasurable prowess and who is compassionate to all beings.
ahamāśvāsayāmyēnāṅ pūrṇacandranibhānanām.

adṛṣṭaduḥkhāṅ duḥkhārtāṅ duḥkhasyāntamagacchatīm৷৷5.30.7৷৷


pūrṇacandranibhānanām who has the countenance of a full-moon, adṛṣṭaduḥkhām who has never seen suffering, duḥkhārtām experiencing sorrow, duḥkhasya from sorrrow, antam end, agacchatīm not approaching, ēnām her, aham I, āśvāsayāmi will console.

"The moon-faced Sita had never experienced sorrow before. She sees no end to her sorrow and suffering. I will console her.
yadyapyahamimāṅ dēvīṅ śōkōpahatacētanām.

anāśvāsya gamiṣyāmi dōṣavadgamanaṅ bhavēt৷৷5.30.8৷৷


śōkōpahatacētanā whose mind is overwhelmed with grief, imāṅ dēvīm this Sita, aham I, anāśvasya without reassuring, yadi gamiṣyāmi if I go, gamanam destination (Kishkinda), dōṣavat is blameworthy, bhavēt would be.

"If I should return to Kishkindha without reassuring Sita, whose understanding has been clouded in grief I would be blamed.
gatē hi mayi tatrēyaṅ rājaputrī yaśasvinī.

paritrāṇamavindantī jānakī jīvitaṅ tyajēt৷৷5.30.9৷৷


mayi when me, tatra there, gatē I go, yaśasvinī renowned, rājaputrī princess, jānakī Janaki, paritrāṇam deliverance, avindantī without getting, jīvitam life, tyajēt she will give up.

"If I so back, this illustrious princess, Janaki will give up her life, finding no means of deliverance (from this tragic situation).
mayā ca sa mahābāhuḥ pūrṇacandranibhānanaḥ.

samāśyāsayituṅ nyāyyassītādarśanalālasaḥ৷৷5.30.10৷৷


mahābāhuḥ strong-armed hero, pūrṇacandranibhānanaḥ face like the full-moon, sītādarśanalālasaḥ
yearning to see Sita, saḥ that Rama, mayā by me, samāśvasayitum to provide comfort, nyāyyaḥ it is proper.

"I should provide some comfort to the strong-armed Rama with a face like the full-moon yearning to see Sita.
niśācarīṇāṅ pratyakṣamanarhaṅ cābhibhāṣitam.

kathannu khalu kartavyamidaṅ kṛcchragatō hyaham৷৷5.30.11৷৷


niśācarīṇām of night-rangers, pratyakṣam in their presence, abhibhāṣitam talking, anarham is not proper, idam this, katham how, kartavyaṅ khalu nu should be fulfilled, aham I, kṛcchragatō hi I am in a predicament.

"I cannot talk to her in the presence of these night-roamers. How can I discharge my duty in this predicament?
anēna rātriśēṣēṇa yadi nāśvāsyatē mayā.

sarvathā nāsti sandēhaḥ parityakṣyati jīvitam৷৷5.30.12৷৷


anēna by this, rātriśēṣēṇa when a part of the night is still left, mayā by me, nāśvāsyatē yadi if I do not comfort her, jīvitam life, parityakṣyati she will give up, sarvathā by all means, sandēhaḥ doubt, nāsti not.

"If I do not comfort her before the remaining part of the night ends, she will give up her life. There is no doubt about it.
rāmaśca yadi pṛcchēnmāṅ kiṅ māṅ sītābravīdvacaḥ.

kimahaṅ taṅ prati brūyāmasaṅbhāṣya sumadhyamām৷৷5.30.13৷৷


sītā Sita, mām to me, kim what, vacaḥ words, abravīt spoke, rāmaśca Rama also , mām I am, pṛcchēdyadi if he enquires, sumadhyamām lady with beautiful waist, asaṅbhāṣya without talking, aham I, taṅ prati to him, kim what, brūyām I can say.

"If Rama enquires about the message of Sita, this lady of beautiful waist, what can I speak without meeting and talking to her?
sītāsandēśarahitaṅ māmitastvarayā.gatam.

nirdahēdapi kākutsya kruddhastīvrēṇa cakṣuṣā৷৷5.30.14৷৷


sītāsandēśarahitam without any message from Sita, itaḥ from here, tvarayā at once, gatam gone, mām me, kākutthsaḥ Rama, kruddhaḥ angry, tīvrēṇa with a sharp, cakṣuṣā with eyes, nirdahēdapi will burn me.

"If I leave this place without any message from Sita, Rama will burn me with his eyes full of great anger.
yadi cōdyōjayiṣyāmi bhartāraṅ rāmakāraṇāt.

vyarthamāgamanaṅ tasya sasainyasya bhaviṣyati৷৷5.30.15৷৷


rāmakāraṇāt for the cause of Rama, bhartāram lord of vanaras, yadi ca udyōjayiṣyāmi if i motivate him, sasainyasya of him along with his army, tasya his, āgamanam coming, vyartham useless, bhaviṣyati will become.

"If I get the lord of vanaras and his army for the cause of Rama (without talking to Sita), their arrival will be useless (if Sita would have given up her life by then).
antaraṅ tvahamāsādya rākṣasīnāmiha sthitaḥ.

śanairāśvāsayiṣyāmi santāpabahuḷāmimām৷৷5.30.16৷৷


aham I, iha here, sthitaḥ waiting, rākṣasīnām of the demonesses, antaram some chance, āsādya after finding, santāpabahulām deeply distressed, imām this lady, śanaiḥ slowly, āśvāsayiṣyāmi will comfort her.

"I shall wait and speak to her slowly and console this deeply distressed lady when I get
a chance to speak to her (when these ogresses are asleep).
ahaṅ tvatitanuścaiva vānaraśca viśēṣataḥ.

caṅ cōdāhariṣyāmi mānuṣīmiha saṅskṛtām৷৷5.30.17৷৷


ahaṅ tu I too, atitanuśca small body, viśēṣataḥ more so, vānaraśca a vanara, iha here, samskṛtām sanskrit language, mānuṣīm of human, vācaṅ ca and talk in, udāhariṣyāmi I will adopt.

"I am indeed of small size and that too a monkey. Nevertheless I shall speak in Sanskrit, a language of the common people. (as the she-demons cannot understand that language).
yadi vācaṅ pradāsyāmi dvijātiriva saṅskṛtām.

rāvaṇaṅ manyamānā māṅ sītā bhītā bhaviṣyati৷৷5.30.18৷৷

vānarasya viśēṣēṇa kathaṅ syādabhibhāṣaṇam.


dvijātiriva like a brahmin, saṅskṛtām sanskrit, vācam language, yadi if I pradāsyāmi will speak, sītā Sita, mām me, rāvaṇam Ravana, manyamānā thinking, bhītā bhaviṣyati will become scared, viśēṣēṇa specially, vānarasya vanara's, abhibhāṣaṇam talking, katham how, syāt would be.

"If I speak like a brahmin in sanskrit language she would be frightened thinking that I am Ravana and how would a vanara speak?
avaśyamēva vaktavyaṅ mānuṣaṅ vākyamarthavat৷৷5.30.19৷৷

mayā sāntvayituṅ śakyā nānyathēyamaninditā.


avaśyamēva certainly, mayā by myself, arthavat for that reason, mānuṣam common man's, vākyam language, vaktavyam should speak, aninditā siness lady, iyam this, anyathā otherwise, sāntvayitum to pacify her, śakyā possible.

"I will certainly speak to her meaningfully in the language of the people. Otherwise it is
not possible to pacify the sinless Sita.
sēyamālōkya mē rūpaṅ jānakī bhāṣitaṅ tathā৷৷5.30.20৷৷

rakṣōbhistrāsitā pūrvaṅ bhūyastrāsaṅ gamiṣyati.


pūrvam earlier, rakṣōbhiḥ by the demons, trāsitā frightened, sā iyam this, jānakī Janaki, mē my, rūpam form, tathā this way, bhāṣitam speaking, ālōkya on seeing, bhūyaḥ again, trāsam fear, gamiṣyati will experience.

"Since Janaki has already been frightened by the demons, she will be even more terrified seeing me in this form and hearing me speaking this way.
tatō jātaparitrāsā śabdaṅ kuryānmanasvinī৷৷5.30.21৷৷

jānamānā viśālākṣī rāvaṇaṅ kāmarūpiṇam.


tataḥ then, manasvinī sensitive woman, viśālākṣī large-eyed, mām me, kāmarūpiṇam who can change form at will, rāvaṇam to Ravana, jānamānā she may think, jātaparitrāsā frightened, śabdam sound, kuryāt may make.

By seeing me in this form, sensitive large-eyed Sita will scream loudly thinking that I am Ravana who can assume any form at his free will.
sītayā ca kṛtē śabdē sahasā rākṣasīgaṇā:.

nānāpraharaṇō ghōra: samēyādantakōpama:৷৷5.30.22৷৷


sītayā by Sita's, śabdē when sound, kṛtē is made, sahasā at once, nānāpraharaṇa: holding different kinds of weapons, ghōra: terrific ones, antakōpama: comparable to the lord of death, rākṣasīgaṇa: horde of ogresses, samēyāt would gather.

"If Sita screams, the horde of terrific ogresses will at once gather, armed with dreadful weapons like Yama, the god of death.
tatō māṅ samparikṣipya sarvatō vikṛtānanāḥ৷৷5.30.23৷৷

vadhē ca grahaṇē caiva kuryuryatnaṅ yathābalam.


tataḥ then, vikṛtānanāḥ women with hideous faces, mām at me, sarvataḥ from all directions, samparikṣipya throwing down, vadhē ca to kill, grahaṇē caiva and to capture me, yathābalam according to their strength, yatnam effort, kuryuḥ will make.

"Then all these hideous ogresses will swarm round me and make efforts to capture me with all their strength and kill me.
gṛhya śākhāḥ praśākhāśca skandhāṅścōttamaśākhinām৷৷5.30.24৷৷

dṛṣṭvā viparidhāvantaṅ bhavēyurbhayaśaṅkitāḥ.


uttamaśākhinām of good trees, śākhāḥ branches, praśākhāśca and side branches, skandhāṅśca and trunks, gṛhya by holding, viparidhāvantam running away, dṛṣṭvā seeing, bhayaśaṅkitāḥ get scared, bhavēyuḥ will be.

"Seeing me holding big and small branches of large trees and leaping from one place to the other, the ogresses will get scared.
mama rūpaṅ ca samprēkṣya vanē vicaratō mahat৷৷5.30.25৷৷

rākṣasyō bhayavitrastā bhavēyurvikṛtānanāḥ.


vikṛtānanāḥ with hideous faces, rākṣasyaḥ ogresses, vanē in the grove, vicarataḥ roaming, mama me, mahat great, rūpam form, samprēkṣya glancing, bhayavitrastāḥ very scared, bhavēyuḥ will be.

"These ogresses with their hideous faces will be frightened on looking at my huge form moving in this grove.
tataḥ kuryussamāhvānaṅ rākṣasyō rakṣasāmapi৷৷5.30.26৷৷

rākṣasēndraniyuktānāṅ rākṣasēndranivēśanē.


tataḥ thereafter, rākṣasyaḥ ogresses, rākṣasēndranivēśanē in the residence of the king of demons, rākṣasēndraniyuktānām engaged by the demon king to guard, rakṣasām api of the demons also, samāhvānam drawing their attention, kuryuḥ they will do.

"Thereafter the ogresses will draw the attention of demon guards engaged by the king of demons at his residence towards me.
tē śūlaśaktinistriṅśavividhāyudhapāṇayaḥ৷৷5.30.27৷৷

āpatēyurvimardē.sminvēgēnōdvēgakāraṇāt.


tē those, tasmin in that, vimardē in war, śūlaśaktinistriṅśavividhāyudhapāṇayaḥ holding different kinds of weapons such as spears, tridents and swords, udvēgakāraṇāt due to fear, vēgēna speedily, āpatēyuḥ will collect.

"Those ogresses due to fear will come speedily, armed with spears, tridents, swords and different kinds of weapons for a combat.
samṛddhastaistu paritō vidhaman rakṣasāṅ balam৷৷5.30.28৷৷

śaknuyāṅ na tu saṅprāptuṅ paraṅ pāraṅ mahōdadhēḥ.


taiḥ by them, paritaḥ around me, samṛddhaḥ filled, rakṣasām of demons, balam power, vidhaman while subduing, mahōdadhēḥ great sea, paraṅ pāram to the other side, samprāptum to reach, na śaknuyām not be possib.le

"With them around me, I may not be able to reach the other end of the ocean (my strength spent in the combat.)
māṅ vā gṛhṇīyurāplutya bahavaśśīghrakāriṇaḥ৷৷5.30.29৷৷

syādiyaṅ cāgṛhītārthā mama ca grahaṇaṅ bhavēt.


śīghrakāriṇaḥ prompt, bahavaḥ a large number, āplutya jumping into the sky, mām me, gṛhṇīyuḥ vā may catch me, iyaṅ ca this lady, agṛhītārthā may not receive the message, syāt may be, mama my, grahaṇaṅ ca arrest, bhavēt will be done.

"The ogres who are in large numbers, here are very prompt to act. They will jump into the sky and bind me. Sita will not receive the message and I will be taken into custody by the demons.
hiṅsābhirucayō hiṅsyurimāṅ vā janakātmajām৷৷5.30.30৷৷

vipannaṅ syāttataḥ kāryaṅ rāmasugrīvayōridam.


vā or, hiṅsābhirucayaḥ keen on indulging in violence, imām this lady, janakātmajām daughter of Janaka, hiṅsyuḥ harm her, tataḥ then, rāmasugrīvayōḥ of Rama and Sugriva, idam this, kāryam mission, vipannaṅ syāt will fail.

"These demons who are keen on indulging in violence will harm Janaka's daughter. Then the mission of Rama and Sugriva will also fail.
uddēśē naṣṭamārgē.smin rākṣasaiḥ parivāritē৷৷5.30.31৷৷

sāgarēṇa parikṣiptē guptē vasati jānakī.


jānakī Janaki, naṣṭamārgē in a hidden location, rākṣasaiḥ by the ogres, parivāritē surrounded, sāgarēṇa by the ocean, parikṣiptē surrounded allover, guptē in a secret place, asmin in this, uddhēśē in this, vasati staying.

"Janaki is staying in this untraceable location surrounded by demons. And this location is a secret place surrounded by the ocean .
viśastē vā gṛhītē vā rakṣōbhirmayi saṅyugē৷৷5.30.32৷৷

nānyaṅ paśyāmi rāmasya sahāyaṅ kāryasādhanē.


mayi me, saṅyugē in a battle, rakṣōbhiḥ by ogres, viśastē vā if I am killed, gṛhītē vā or captured,
rāmasya of Rama, kāryasādhanē to accomplish the task, anyam another, sahāyam help, na paśyāmi I do not see.

"If I am killed in the combat or captured by the demons, I do not see another person who can help in accomplishing this task.
vimṛśaṅśca na paśyāmi yō hatē mayi vānaraḥ৷৷5.30.33৷৷

śatayōjanavistīrṇaṅ laṅghayēta mahōdadhim.


mayi when I am, hatē killed, yaḥ whosoever, vānaraḥ vanara, śatayōjanavistīrṇam extended over a distance of hundred yojanas, mahōdadhim the ocean, laṅghayēt can leap over, vimṛśan ca even while reflecting carefully, na paśyāmi I cannot see.

"When I am killed here, I cannot see any other vanara who can leap over a hundred yojanas of the ocean (to reach this place).
kāmaṅ hantuṅ samarthō.smi sahasrāṇyapi rakṣasām৷৷5.30.34৷৷

na tu śakṣyāmi samprāptuṅ paraṅ pāraṅ mahōdadhēḥ.


rakṣasām of demons, sahasrāṇyapi even thousands of them, hantum to kill, samarthaḥ capable, asmi kāmam I am surely, tu also, mahōdadhēḥ of the ocean, paraṅ pāram to cross over, samprāptum to reach, na śakṣyāmi it may not be possible.

"I may be capable of killing even thousands of demons but thereafter (thoroughly exhausted) reach the other side of the ocean.
asatyāni ca yuddhāni saṅśayō mē na rōcatē৷৷5.30.35৷৷

kaśca nissaṅśayaṅ kāryaṅ kuryātprājñaḥ sasaṅśayam.


yuddhāni battles, asatyāni ca not true, saṅśayaḥ doubtful, mē I, na rōcatē it does not please me, kaḥ who, prājñaḥ wise man, niḥsaṅśayam without any doubt, kāryam task, sasaṅśayam without any doubt, kuryāt will take up.

"Battles, no doubt, are unpredictable. Which wise man with a sound intellect will take up a doubtful work unhesitatingly?
prāṇatyāgaśca vaidēhyā bhavēdanabhibhāṣaṇē৷৷5.30.36৷৷

ēṣa dōṣō mahānhi syānmama sītābhibhāṣaṇē.


anabhibhāṣaṇē if I do not speak, vaidēhyāḥ of Vaidehi, prāṇatyāgaśca abandonement of life, bhavēt may be, sītābhibhāṣaṇē on talking to Sita, mama to me, ēṣaḥ such, mahān great, dōṣaḥ drawback, syāt will be.

"If I talk to Vaidehi it will be a great mistake on my part.If I do not speak to Vaidehi she may give up her life.
bhūtāścārthā vinaśyanti dēśakālavirōdhitāḥ৷৷5.30.37৷৷

viklabaṅ dūtamāsādya tamaḥ sūryōdayē yathā.


viklabam a confused person, dūtam messenger, āsādya by appointing, bhūtāḥ even sure ones, arthāḥ missions, dēśakālavirōdhitāḥ if place and time are not propitious, sūryōdayē at Sunrise, tamaḥ yathā like the darkness, vinaśyanti will be destroyed.

"Even well planned diplomatic missions fail like darkness dispelled at Sunrise if the messenger is confused and if the place and time are not propitious for them.
arthānarthāntarē buddhiniścitāpi na śōbhatē৷৷5.30.38৷৷

ghātayanti hi kāryāṇi dūtāḥ paṇḍitamāninaḥ.


arthānarthāntarē swinging from a course of action or an action leading to calamity, buddhi intelligence, niścitāpi though decided, na śōbhatē not proper, paṇḍitamāninaḥ self-styled scholars, dūtāḥ messengers, kāryāṇi their missions, ghātayanti hi will be destroyed.

"Swinging from a course of action or an action leading to calamity is not proper.
Messengers who assume that they are scholars (blinded by ego) destroy their mission.
na vinaśyētkathaṅ kāryaṅ vaiklabyaṅ na kathaṅ bhavēt৷৷5.30.39৷৷

laṅghanaṅ ca samudrasya kathaṅ nu na vṛthā bhavēt.


kāryam task, katham how, na vinaśyēt may not be spoilt, vaiklabyam failure, katham how, na bhavēt not be allowed to take place, samudrasya ocean's, laṅghanaṅ ca crossing, kathaṅ nu how indeed, vṛthā wasteful, na bhavēt not to be.

"How can the mission succeed? How can failure of mission be avoided? How can the crossing of the great ocean be not wasted?"
kathaṅ nu khalu vākyaṅ mē śṛṇuyānnōdvijēta vā.

iti sañcintya hanumāṅścakāra matimānmatim৷৷5.30.40৷৷


mē vākyam my words, kathaṅ nu how to, śṛṇuyāyāt she may listen, na udvijēta vā and not get agitated, iti thus, sañcintya reflecting, matimān wise, hanumān Hanuman, matim in his mind, cakāra exercised.

Wise Hanuman came to a decision after reflecting in his mind about how not to create fear in Sita (while communicating with her.)
rāmamakliṣṭakarmāṇaṅ subandhumanukīrtayan৷৷5.30.41৷৷

naināmudvējayiṣyāmi tadbandhugatamānasām.


akliṣṭakarmāṇam one who is judicious in action, subandhum very dear to her, rāmam Rama, anukīrtayan by praising him, tadbandhugatamānasām since her mind is absorbed in him, ēnām her, nōdvējayiṣyāmi I will not create fear.

"By praising Rama who is very dear, who is judicious in action and in whom her mind is absorbed, I will not create fear.
ikṣvākūṇāṅ variṣṭhasya rāmasya viditātmanaḥ৷৷5.30.42৷৷

śubhāni dharmayuktāni vacanāni samarpayan.

śrāvayiṣyāmi sarvāṇi madhurāṅ prabruvan giram৷৷5.30.43৷৷

śraddhāsyati yathāhīyaṅ tathā sarvaṅ samādadhē.


ikṣvākūṇām in Ikshvaku race, variṣṭhasya of the esteemed person, viditātmanaḥ of the knower of the self, rāmasya Rama's, śubhāni auspicious, vacanāni words, samarpayan by offering, madhurām sweet, giram word, prabruvan while uttering, sarvāṇi everything, śrāvayiṣyāmi will make her listen, iyam this, yathā as, śraddhāsyati will trust me, sarvam everything, samādadē I will present.

"I shall present in auspicious words the esteemed Rama of Ikshvaku family who is a knower of self and make her listen to everything in such a sweet manner that she will trust me.
iti sa bahuvidhaṅ mahānubhāvō

jagatipatēḥ pramadāmavēkṣamāṇaḥ.

madhuramavitathaṅ jagāda vākyaṅ

drumaviṭapāntaramāsthitō hanūmān৷৷5.30.44৷৷

High-souled Hanuman seated on the branch of the tree without being seen began to speak faithfully in praise of the lord of the universe in many ways while looking at her.
ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē sundarakāṇḍē triṅśassargaḥ৷৷
Thus ends the thirtieth sarga of Sundarakanda of the holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
