Sloka & Translation

[Instructed by Jambavan, Hanuman goes to Himalayas, gets the herbs along with the hillock. Inhaling the fragrance of the herbs Rama and Lakshmana regain their senses. The Vanaras lying unconscious, are healed by the fragrance, relieved of pain and awakened.]

तयोस्तदासादितयोरणाग्रेमुमोहसैन्यंहरिपुङ्गवानाम् ।

सुग्रीवनीलाङ्गदजाम्बवन्तो न चापिकिञ्चित्प्रतिपेदिरेते ।।6.74.1।।


रणाग्रे in the forefront of the battle, तदा then, तयोः both, सादितयोः unconscious, हरिपुङ्गवानाम् monkey leaders, सैन्यम् army, मुमोह lost senses, ते they, सुग्रीवनीलाङ्गदजाम्बवन्तोऽपि Sugriva, Neela, Angada and Jambavantha, किञ्चित् indeed, न प्रतिपेदिरे not known what to do.

The two brothers (Rama and Lakshmana) become unconscious in the forefront of the battle the monkey leaders lose senses. Sugriva, Neela, Angada and Jambavantha did not know What to do.
ततोविषण्णंसमवेक्ष्यसैन्यंविभीषणोबुद्धिमतांवरिष्ठः ।

उवाचशाखमृगराजवीरानाश्वासयन्नप्रतिमैर्वचोभिः ।।6.74.2।।


ततः thereafter, बुद्धिमताम् wise, वरिष्ठः foremost, विभीषणः Vibheeshana, विषण्णम् despondent, सैन्यम् army, समवेक्ष्य observing, अप्रतिमैः incomparable, वचोभिः words, शाखामृगराजवीरान् the monkey leaders, आश्वासयन् reassuring, उवाच spoke.

Thereafter, foremost among the wise, Vibheeshana observing the despondency of the monkey leaders spoke to them reassuring in incomparable words.
माभैष्टनास्त्यत्रविषादकालोयदार्यपुत्त्रौविवशौविषण्णौ ।

स्वयम्भुवोवाक्यमथोद्वहन्तौयत्सादिताविन्द्रजिदस्त्रजालैः ।।6.74.3।।


आर्यपुत्रौ noble men, स्वयम्भुवः creator, वाक्यम् statement, उद्वहन्तौ to honour, अथ now, इन्द्रजित् Indrajith, अस्त्रजालैः network of arrows, यत् that which, सादितौ helpless, यत् that, अवशौ lost senses, विषण्णौ despondent, माभैष्ट you need not fear, तत्रthere, विषादकालः sorrowful, नास्ति not.

"O Noble men! Do not fear. Rama and Lakshmana are afflicted by Indrajith's volley of arrows and have lost senses. They are despondent to honour the statement of the creator not otherwise."
तस्मैतुदत्तंपरमास्त्रमेतत्स्वयम्भुवाब्राह्मममोघवेगम् ।

तन्मानयन्तौयुधिराजपुत्रौनिपातितौकोऽत्रविषादकालः ।।6.74.4।।


तस्मै to him, एतत् this, अमोघवेगम् terrific speed, ब्राह्मंपरमास्त्रम् Brahma's weapon, स्वयम्भुवा creator, दत्तम् conferred, तत् that, मानयन्तौ to respect, राजपुत्रौ the princes, युधि in battle, निपातितौ fallen, अत्र there, विषादकालः to grieve for, कः why.

To him (Indrajith), the creator has conferred this weapon of Brahma endowed with terrific speed. To respect the missile both the princes have fallen. Why do you grieve?
ब्राह्ममस्त्रंततोधीमान्मानयित्वातुमारुतिः ।

विभीषणवचश्श्रुत्वाहनूमांस्तमथाब्रवीत् ।।6.74.5।।


ततः thereafter, धीमान् wise, मारुतिः Maruthi, हनूमान् Hanuman, ब्राह्मम् Brahma, अस्त्रम् missile, मानयित्वा to respect, विभीषणवचः Vibheeshana's words, श्रुत्वा hearing, अथ this, अब्रवीत् spoke.

Thereafter, hearing Vibheeshana's words, wise Hanuman spoke this with respect to the missile of Brahma.
एतस्मिन्निहतेसैन्येवानराणांतरस्विनाम् ।

योयोधारयतेप्राणांस्तंतमाश्वासयाव ।।6.74.6।।


एतन्निहते who has been struck, तरस्विनाम् who are strong, वानराणाम् Vanaras, अस्मिन् those, सैन्ये army, यःयः who so ever, प्राणान् are with life, धारयते breathing, तंतम् all of them, आश्वासयाम restore confidence.

"Whoever is strong among Vanaras, have been struck and are alive breathing among the Vanaras. Let us restore their confidence."
तावुभौयुगपवदीरौहनूमद्राक्षसोत्तमौ ।

उल्काहस्तौतदारात्रौरणशीर्षेविचेरतुः ।।6.74.7।।


वीरौ heroes, तौ those, उभौ two, हनूमद्राक्षसोत्तमौ Hanuman and foremost of Rakshasas (Vibheeshana), तदा then, रात्रौ night, उल्काहस्तौ torch in hand, रणशीर्षे left in the battlefield, विचेरतुः searched.

The two heroes, Hanuman and Vibheeshana, and the foremost of Rakshasas with torch in hand searched for the left over Vanaras in the battlefield.
भिन्नलाङ्गूलहस्तोरुपादाङ्गुळशिरोधरैः ।

स्रवद्भिःक्षतजंगात्रैःप्रस्रवद्भिस्ततस्ततः ।।6.74.8।।

पतितैःपर्वताकारैर्वानरैरभिसङ्कुलाम् ।

शस्सैश्चपतितैर्दीप्तैर्ददृशातेवसुन्धराम् ।।6.74.9।।


भिन्नलाङ्गूलहस्तोरुपादाङ्गुलिशिरोधरैः tails cut off, hand severed, some with broken thighs, legs and fingers, गात्रैः necks, क्षतजम् cut off, स्रवद्भिः letting out blood, प्रस्रवद्भिः discharging urine, समन्ततः all over, पतितैः fallen, पर्वताकारैः of mountain form, वानरैः Vanaras, अभिसङ्कुलाम् filled with, पतितैः fallen, दीप्तेः glowing, शस्त्रैश्च weapons, वसुन्धराम् on the ground, ददृशाते saw.

Two of them saw the ground covered with Vanaras of mountainlike forms, who had fallen with tails cut off, some with broken thighs, broken legs and fingers, necks severed, letting off blood, discharging urine and glowing weapons lying on the ground.
सुग्रीवमङ्गदंनीलंशरभंगन्धमादनम् ।

गवाक्षं च सुषेणं च वेगदर्शिनमाहुकम् ।।6.74.10।।

मैन्दंनळंज्योतिमुखंद्विविदंपनसंतथा ।

विभीषणोहनूमांश्चददृशातेहतान् रणे ।।6.74.11।।


विभीषणः Vibheeshana, हनूमान् च and Hanuman, रणे in battle, हतान् struck down, सुग्रीवम् Sugriva, अङ्गदम् Angada, नीलम् Neela, शरभम् Sarabha, गन्धमादनम् Gandhamadanam, गवाक्षम् Gavaksha, सुषेणं च and Sushena, वेगदर्शिनमाहुकम् Vegadarsi, Ahuka, मैन्दम् Mainda, नळम् Nala, ज्योतिमुखम् Jyothimukha, द्विविदम् Dwivida, पनसंतथा Panasa, ददृशाते saw.

Vibheeshana and Hanuman saw in the battlefield Sugriva, Angada, Neela, Sarabha, Gandhamadana, Gavaksha, Sushena, Vegadarsi, Ahuka, Mainda, Nala, Jyothimukha, Dwivida and Panasa struck down.
सप्तषष्टिर्हताःकोट्योवानराणांतरस्विनाम् ।

अह्नःपञ्चमशेषेणवल्लभेनस्वयम्भुवः ।।6.74.12।।


स्वयम्भुवः creator's, वल्लभेन by Indrajith, अह्नः struck down, पञ्चमशेषेण fifth and last period of the day, तरस्विनाम् strong, वानराणाम् Vanaras, सप्तषष्टिः sixtyseven, कोट्यः crores, हताः killed.

By the creator's missile Indrajith struck down sixtyseven crores of strong Vanaras between the fifth and last part of the day.
सागरौघनिभंभीमंदृष्टवाबाणार्दितंबलम् ।

मार्गतेजाम्बवन्तंस्मिहनूमान् सविभीषणः ।।6.74.13।।


सविभीषणः Vibheeshana, हनूमान् Hanuman, सागरौघनिभम् ? resembling ocean, बाणार्दितम् glowing arrows, बलम् army, दृष्टवा seeing, जाम्बवन्तम् Jambavantha, मार्गते looked for.

Vibheeshana and Hanuman seeing the ocean of Vanara army and the glowing arrows on them, looked for Jambavantha.
स्वभावजरयायुक्तंवृद्धंशरशतैश्चितम् ।

प्रजापतिसुतंवीरंशाम्यन्तमिवपावकम् ।।6.74.14।।

दृष्टवातमुपसङ्ग्रम्यपौलस्त्योवाक्यमब्रवीत् ।


पौलस्त्यः Paulastaya, स्वभावजरया by nature, युक्तम् wise, वृद्धम् aged, शरशतैः hundreds of arrows, चितम् pained, शाम्यन्तम् cooling, पावकम् इव like fire, वीरम् heroic, प्रजापतिसुतम् son of Prajapathi, दृष्टवा seeing, तमुपसङ्ग्रम्य going close, वाक्यम् words, अब्रवीत् spoke.

Paulastya (Vibheeshana of Paulastya clan), seeing the son of Prajapathi (Jambavan), who by nature was wise and aged, afflicted by hundreds of arrows, like a cooling fire sacrifice, went close by and spoke these words.
च्चिदार्यशरैस्तीक्ष्णैर्नप्राणाध्वंसितास्तव ।।6.74.15।।

विभीषणवचश्श्रुत्वाजाम्बवानृक्षपुङ्गवः ।

कृच्छ्रादभ्युग्दिरन्वाक्यमिदंवचनमब्रवीत् ।।6.74.16।।


आर्य noble, तीक्ष्णैः pointed, शरैः arrows, तव yours, प्राणाः life, कच्चित् indeed, ऋक्षपुङ्गवः foremost of Bears, जाम्बवान् Jambavan, विभीषणवचः Vibheeshana's words, श्रुत्वा hearing, कृच्छ्रात् difficulty, वाक्यम् words, अभ्युगदिरन् uttering, इदंवचनम् these words, अब्रवीत् spoke।।

"O Noble Jambavan! Indeed, your life has not been afflicted with these sharp arrows." Hearing this, Jambavan uttered these words with difficulty."
नैरृतेन्द्रमहावीर्यस्वरेणत्वाऽभिलक्ष्ये ।

पीड्यमानशशितैर्बाणैर्नत्वापश्यामिचक्षुषा ।।6.74.17।।


महावीर्य great hero, नैरृतेन्द्र ruler of Rakshasas, स्वरेण by voice, त्वा your, अभिलक्ष्ये, शितैः sharp, बाणैः arrows, पीड्यमान pierced, त्वाम् you, चक्षुषा eyes, नपश्यामि not see.

"Great hero, Vibheeshana! I recognise you by your voice. Pierced with sharp arrows I am not able to see you."
अञ्जनासुप्रजायेनमातरिश्वा च नैरृत ।

हनुमान् वानरश्रेष्ठःप्राणान् धारयतेक्वचित् ।।6.74.18।।


नैरृत Rakshasa, येन by whom, अञ्जना Anjana, सुप्रजाः Supraja, मातरिश्वाच blessed as parents, वानरश्रेष्ठः of Rakshasa, हनुमान् Hanuman, क्वचित् indeed, प्राणान् life, धारयते alive.

Vibheeshana (Rakshasa)! Indeed, Hanuman, the foremost of Vanaras, by whose birth, Anjana and Supraja are blessed as parents, are they alive?
श्रुत्वाजाम्बवतोवाक्यमुवाचेदंविभीषणः ।

आर्यपुत्रावतिक्रम्यकस्मात्पृच्छसिमारुतिम् ।।6.74.19।।


जाम्बवतः Jambavatha, वाक्यम् words, श्रुत्वा hearing, विभीषणः Vibheeshana, इदम् these, वाक्यम् words, उवाच said, आर्यपुत्रौ noble son, अतिक्रम्य leaving, मारुतिम् Hanuman, कस्मात् why, पृच्छसि enquiring.

After hearing Jambavantha, Vibheeshana said "Noble son, why are you enquiring about Hanuman?"
नैवराजनिसुग्रीवेनाङ्गदेनापिराघवे ।

आर्यसन्दर्शितस्स्नेहोयथावायुसुतेपरः ।।6.74.20।।


आर्य noble, वायुसुते son of wind god, यथा that way, परः others, स्नेहः affection, सन्दर्शितः showing, राजा king, सुग्रीवे Sugriva, नैव not, आङ्गदे Angada, , राघवेऽपि even Raghava

"Noble one! You are showing affection to Hanuman but not to King Sugriva, or Angada or even Raghava?"
विभीषणवचश्श्रुत्वाजाम्बवान्वाक्यमब्रवीत् ।

शृणुनैरृतशार्दूलयस्मात् पृच्छामिमारुतिम् ।।6.74.21।।


जाम्बवान् Jambavan, विभीषणवचः Vibheeshana's words, श्रुत्वा hearing, वाक्यम् spoken, अब्रवीत् said, नैरृतशार्दूल tiger among Rakshasas, मारुतिम् Maruthi, यस्मात् your, पृच्छामि enquiry, शृणु listen.

On hearing Vibheeshana, the tiger among Rakshasas, Jambavan replied, "Listen why I enquired about Maruthi."
तस्मिन्जीवतिवीरेतुहतमप्यहतंबलम् ।

हनूमत्युज्झितप्राणेजीवन्तोऽपिवयम् हृता ।।6.74.22।।


तस्मिन्वीरे if this hero, जीवितliving, हतमपि destroyed, बलम् army, अहतम् intact, हनूमति Hanuman, उज्झितप्राणे is still alive, वयम् we, जीवन्तःअपि living also, हृताः like dead only.

If this hero Hanuman is alive, even if the army is destroyed and if we are alive, it is like dead only.
धरतेमारुतिस्तातमारुतप्रतिमोयदि ।

वैश्वानरसमोवीर्वेजीविताशाततोभवेत् ।।6.74.23।।


तात dear, मारुतप्रतिमः equal to wind god, वीर्ये in valiance, वैश्वानरसमः equal to Vysvanara's, मारुतिः Maruthi, धरतेयदि is breathing, ततः then, जीविताशा hope for life, भवेत् will be.

"Dear! If Hanuman who is equal to wind god, resembles Vyshvanara (God of fire) is breathing, then we can hope to live (for life)."
ततोवृद्धमुपागम्यनियमेनाभ्यवादयत् ।

गृह्यजाम्बवतःपादौहनूमान्मारुतात्मजः ।।6.74.24।।


ततः thereafter, मारुतात्मजः son of wind god, हनूमान् Hanuman, वृद्धम् aged, उपागम्य coming close, नियमेना in accordance with tradition, जाम्बवतः Jambavantha, पादौ feet, गृह्य clasped, अभ्यवादयत् greeted.

Thereafter, Hanuman the son of the wind god coming close to the aged Jambavan clasped his feet in accordance with tradition and greeted him.
श्रुत्वाहनुमतोवाक्यंतदाऽपिव्यथितेन्द्रियः ।

पुनर्जातमिवात्मानंमन्यतेप्लवगोत्तमः ।।6.74.25।।


तदा then, अपि again, व्यथितेन्द्रियः whose senses were affected, प्लवगोत्तमः foremost of Vanaras, हनुमतः Hanuman, वाक्यम् statement, श्रुत्वा hearing, आत्मानम् himself, पुनः again, पुन once again born, मन्यते felt।।

Then again, Jambavan whose senses were affected, on hearing the statement of Hanuman, the foremost of Vanaras, felt as though he was born again.
ततोऽब्रवीन्महातेजाहनूमन्तं स जाम्बवान् ।

आगच्छहरिशार्दूल वानरांस्त्रातुमर्हसि ।।6.74.26।।


ततः then, महातेजा brilliant, सः he, जाम्बवान् Jambavan, हनूमन्तम् to Hanuman, अब्रवीत् spoke, हरिशार्दूल tiger of Vanaras, आगच्छ reaching, वानरान् Vanaras, त्रातुम् protect, अर्हसि you ought.

Then brilliant Jambavan spoke to Hanuman, the tiger among Vanaras, on reaching him. "You ought to protect the Vanaras."
नान्योवक्रमपर्याप्तस्त्वमेषांपरमस्सखा ।

त्वत्पराक्रमकालोऽयंनान्यंपश्यामिकथञ्चन ।।6.74.27।।


त्वम् you, एषाम् in that way, वक्रमपर्याप्तः fully endowed with prowess, परमः great, सखा friend, अन्यः others, न no, अयम् we, त्वत्पराक्रमकालः time to show your talent, अन्यम् others, कथञ्चन none indeed, न पश्यामि I do not see any.

"You are fully endowed with prowess and great friend of monkeys in that way. It is time for you to show your talent. Indeed, I do not see anyone else."
ऋक्ष्वानरवीराणामनीकानिप्रहर्षय ।

शल्यौकुरुचाप्येतासादितौरामलक्ष्मणौ ।।6.74.28।।


ऋक्ष्वानरवीराणाम् for the Bears and Vanaras, अनीकानि excessive, प्रहर्षय happiness, सादितौ unconscious, एतौ for them, रामलक्ष्मणौ च and for Rama and Lakshmana, विशल्यौ comfortable, कुरु make them.

For the Bears and Vanaras, create excessive happiness. For Rama and Lakshmana who are unconscious, make them comfortable.
गत्वापरममध्वानमुपर्युपरिसागरम् ।

हिमवन्तंनगश्रेष्ठंहनुमन्गन्तुमर्हसि ।।6.74.29।।


हनूमान् Hanuman, सागरम् उपर्युपरि over the sea, परमम् very, अध्वानम् far, गत्वा going, नगश्रेष्ठम् highest mountain, हिमवन्तम् Himalayas, गन्तुम् going, अर्हसि ought to.

"Hanuman, you ought to go very far over the sea to the Himalayas, the highest mountain."
ततःकाञ्चनमत्युच्चमृषभंपर्वतोत्तमम् ।

कैलासशिखरंचापिद्रक्ष्यस्यरिनिषूदन ।।6.74.30।।


अरिनिषूदन destroyer enemies, ततः there, काञ्चनम् golden, अत्युग्रम् top of, पर्वतोत्तमम् foremost of the mountains, ऋषभम् Rshaba, कैलासशिखरं च on the peak of Kailasa, द्रक्ष्यसि will see।।

"O Destroyer of enemies! there on top you will see the foremost of the mountain Rshaba and on the peak of Kailasa."
तयोशशिखरयोर्मध्येप्रदीप्तमतुलप्रभम् ।

सर्यौषधियुतंवीर द्रक्ष्यस्यौषधिपर्यतम् ।।6.74.31।।


वीरhero, तयोः those two, शिखयोः peaks, मध्ये middle, प्रदीप्तम् glowing, अतुलप्रभम् very splendid, सर्यौषधियुतम् all kinds of medicinal herbs, ओषधिपर्वतम् mountain covered with medicinal herbs, द्रक्ष्यसि will see.

"Heroic Hanuman! In the middle of those two mountains, you will see a highly splendid mountain covered with all kinds of medicinal herbs."
तस्यवानरशार्दूल चतस्रो मूधि सम्भवाः ।

द्रक्ष्यस्योषधयोदीप्तादीपय्नत्योदिशोदश ।।6.74.32।।


वनरशार्दूल tiger of monkeys, तस्य your, मूर्ध्नि on the summit, सम्भवाः growing there, दीप्ताः illuminating, चतस्रः four, ओषधयः medicinal hebs, दशो ten, दीपय्नत्यो flaming, द्रक्ष्यसि will see.

"O Tiger among monkeys! You will see on the summit four medicinal herbs growing there illuminating the ten directions."
मृतसञ्जीवनींचैवविशल्यकरणीमपि ।

सुवर्णकरणींचैवसन्धानकरणींतथा ।।6.74.33।।


मृतसञ्जीवनींचैव Mrtasanjivani (restoring life of the dead), विशल्यकरणीम् अपि Visalyakarani (capable of healing wounds inflicted by weapons), सुवर्णकरणींचैव Suvarna karani (restoring original complexion after injury), सन्धानम् Sandhani (capable of joining broken bones), करणीम् herbs, तथा that way.

"Mrtasanjivani, Visalyakarani, Suvarnakarani, Sandhani, all these herbs are grown there."
तास्सर्वाहनुमन्गृह्वक्षिप्रमागन्तुमर्हसि ।

आश्वासयहरीन् प्राणैर्योज्यगन्धवहात्मज ।।6.74.34।।


हनुमन् Hanuman, ताः you, सर्वाः all, गृह्य taking, क्षिप्रम् immediately, आगन्तुम् return, अर्हसि ought to, गन्धवहात्मज son of wind god, हरीन् monkeys, प्राणैः life, योज्य uniting, आश्वसय reassuring.

"Hanuman, taking the four herbs you, the son of wind god ought to return immediately with the speed of wind, to unite the life of the monkeys and reassure."
श्रुत्वाजाम्बवतोवाक्यंहनूमान् हरिपुङ्गवः ।

आपूर्यतबलोद्धर्षैस्तोयवेगैरिवार्णवः ।।6.74.35।।


मारुतात्मजः son of wind god, हनुमन् Hanuman, जाम्बवतः Jambvatha, वाक्यम् instruction, श्रुत्वा on hearing, अर्णवः ocean,, स्तोयवेगैःइव like infused with wind speed, बलोद्धर्षैः increased his strength, आपूर्यत completely.

"Hearing the instruction of Jambavantha, the son of the wind god, infused with wind speed as the ocean, heaves with the force of wind increasing his strength fully."
पर्वततटाग्रस्थःपीडयन् पर्वतोत्तमम् ।

हनूमान्दृश्यतेवीरोद्वितीयइवपर्वतः ।।6.74.36।।


पर्वतताटाग्रस्थः standing on top of the mountain, पर्वतोत्तमम् foremost of the mountains, पीडयन् pressing, वीरः hero, सःहनूमान् that Hanuman, द्वितीय second, पर्वतःइव like mountain, दृश्यते appeared.

Standing on the summit of the foremost of the mountains, hero Hanuman pressing his feet seemed like a second mountain
हरिपादविनिर्भग्नोनिषसाद स पर्वतः ।

न शशाकतदात्मानंसोढुंभृशनिपीडितः ।।6.74.37।।


हरिपादविनिर्भग्नः trodden by the feet of Hanuman, सःपर्वतः that mountain, भृशपीडितः sank down, तदा then, आत्मानम् himself, वोढुम् forcibly pressed, न शशाक not bear, निषसाद his strength.

Trodden by the feet of Hanuman that mountain pressed forcibly by himself could not bear his strength.
तस्यपेतुर्नगाभूमौहरिवेगाच्चजज्वलुः ।

शृङ्गाणि च व्यशीर्यन्तपीडितस्यहनूमता ।।6.74.38।।


हनूनता Hanuman, पीडितस्य pressurised, तस्य by his, नगाः mountain, हरिवेगात् by the speed Hanuman, भूमौ ground, पेतुः fallen, जज्वलुः च started fire, शृङ्गाणि च by the impetuosity of his speed, व्यशीर्यन्त shattered.

Oppressed by the speed of Hanuman, the mountain fell to the ground and by the impetuosity of his speed the mountain got shattered.
तस्मिन् सम्पीड्यमानेतुभग्नद्रुमशिलातले ।

न शेकुर्वानरास्स्थातुंघूर्णमानेनगोत्तमे ।।6.74.39।।


सम्पीड्यमाने began to get oppressed, भग्नद्रुमशिलातले trees and rocks broken, तस्मिन् नगोत्तमे that foremost of mountain, घूर्णमाने crushed, वानराः Vanaras, स्थातुम् to stand, न शेकुः not possible.

As the foremost of the mountain got oppressed it crushed the trees and rocks on it and Vanaras were unable to stand on it.
साघूर्णितमहाद्वाराप्रभग्नगृहगोपुरा ।

लङ्कात्रासाकुलारात्रौप्रवृत्तेवाभवत्तदा ।।6.74.40।।


तदा then, घूर्णितमहाद्वारा mighty gates shaken, प्रभग्नगृहगोपुरा shattered the homes and gates, त्रासाकुला stricken with fear, लङ्का Lanka, रात्रौ night, प्रवृत्तेव dancing and shaking, अभवत् seemed.

Then the mighty gates of Lanka shaking, homes shattered, stricken with fear that night it seemed Lanka was dancing.
पृथिवीधरसङ्काशोनिपीड्यधरणीधरम् ।

पृथिवींक्षोभयामाससार्णवांमारुतात्मजः ।।6.74.41।।


पृथिवीधरसङ्काशः like a mountain, मारुतात्मजः wind god's son, धरणीधरम् supported by earth, निपीड्य pressing, सार्णवाम् ocean, पृथिवीम् earth, क्षोभयामास made to shake.

Son of the wind god, who was like a mountain supported by earth, pressing hard caused the earth with its ocean to shake.
आरुरोहतदातस्माद्धरिर्मलयपर्वतम् ।

मेरुमन्दरसङ्काशंनानाप्रस्रवणाकुलम् ।।6.74.42।।

नानाद्रुमलताकीर्णंविकासिकमलोत्पलम् ।

सेवितंदेवगन्धर्वैष्षष्टियोजनमुच्छ्रितम् ।।6.74.43।।

विद्याधरैर्मुनिगणैरप्सरोभिर्निषेवितम् ।

नानामृगगणाकीर्णंबहुकन्दरशोभितम् ।।6.74.44।।

सर्वानाकुलयंस्तत्रयक्षगन्धर्वकिन्नरान् ।

हनुमान् मेघसङ्काशोववृधेमारुतात्मजः ।।6.74.45।।


तदा then, हरिः monkey, तस्मात्? from that, मेरुमन्दरसङ्काशम् resembling Meru and Mandara mountains, नानाप्रस्रवणाकुलम् set with various springs, नाना es, देवगन्धर्वैः Devas and Gandharvas, षष्टियोजनम् ? sixty yojanas, उच्छ्रितम् high, विद्याधरैः by Vidhyadharas, मुनिगणैः sages, अप्सरोभिः celestials, निषेवितम् frequented, नानामृगगणाकीर्णम् filled with various species of deer, बहुकन्दरशोभितम् numerous caves, मलयपर्वतम् Malaya mountain, आरुरोह living there, मारुतात्मजः son of windgod, हनूमान् Hanuman, तत्र there, सर्वान् all, यक्षगन्धर्वकिन्नरान् Yakshas, Gandharvas and Kinnaras, आकुलयन् filled with, मेघसङ्काशः like a cloud, ववृधे grew.

From that mountain the monkey sprang to Malaya Mountain which was like Meru and Mandara mountains. It was set with various springs, covered with various trees and creepers, abounded with lotuses, frequented by Devas, Gandharvas. It was sixty yojanas high and visited by Vidhyadharas, celestial nymphs, and sages, filled with various species of deer and numerous caves. Yakshas, Gandharvas, and Kinnaras were living there. There the son of the wind god grew in size like a cloud.
पद्भ्यांतुशैलमापीड्यबडबामुखवन्मुखम् ।

विवृत्योग्रंननादोच्चैस्त्रासयन्निवराक्षसान् ।।6.74.46।।


शैलम् mountain, पद्भ्याम् by feet, आविध्य pressing, बडबामुखवत् opening his largemouth, उग्रम् angry, मुखम् face, विवृत्य opening, इवराक्षसान् like Rakshasas, त्रासयन् fearful, उच्चैः loudly, ननाद roared.

Pressing the mountain hard by his feet, opening his largemouth wide, he roared like Rakshasas to make Rakshasas fearful.
तस्यनानद्यमानस्यश्रुत्वानिनदमद्भुतम् ।

लङ्कास्थाराक्षसास्सर्वे न शेकुस्स्पन्दितुंभयात् ।।6.74.47।।


नानाद्यमानस्य by the roaring, तस्य its, उत्तमम् loud, निनदम् sound, श्रुत्वा hearing, लङ्कास्थाः Lanka's, राक्षसाः Rakshasa, सर्वे all, भयात् in fear, स्पन्दितुम् stir, न शेकुः not possible.

All the Rakshasas in Lanka hearing the loud roar of Hanuman were afraid and could not stir from there.
नमस्कृत्वाऽथरामायमारुतिर्भीमविक्रमः ।

राघवार्थेपरंकर्मसमीहतपरन्तपः ।।6.74.48।।


भीमविक्रमः of terrific valour, परन्तपः scorcher of enemies, मारुतिः Maruthi, रामाय Rama's, नमस्कृत्वा offering his prayer, राघवार्थे for Raghava, परम् stupendous, कर्म task, समीहत made up his mind.

Maruti, scorcher of enemies, endowed with terrific valour offered prayers to Sri Rama and made up his mind to embark on the stupendous task for Raghava.
स पुच्छमुद्यम्यभुजङ्गकल्पंविनम्यपृष्ठंश्रवणेनिकुञ्च्य ।

विवृत्यवक्त्रंबडबामुखाभमापुफ्लुवेव्योमनिचण्डवेगः ।।6.74.49।।


सः he, भुजङ्गकल्पम् resembling a serpent, पुच्छम् bending his back, उद्यम्य raising, पृष्ठम् tail, विनम्य bent down, श्रवणे ears, निकुञ्च्य bending, बडबामुखाभम् opening widely, वक्त्रम् mouth, विवृत्य expounded, निचण्डवेगः terrible speed, व्योम्नि sky, आपुफ्लुवे sprang up.

Raising his tail which resembled a serpent, bending his back, and ears, opening his mouth wide expounded Hanuman sprang up at terrific speed.
सवृक्षषण्डांस्तरसाजहारशैलान् शिलाःप्राकृतवानरांश्च ।

बाहूरुवेगोद्धतसम्प्रणुन्नास्तेक्षीणवेगास्सलिलेनिपेतुः ।।6.74.50।।


स: he, तरसा speed, वृक्षखण्डान् clusters of trees, शैलान् mountains, शिलाः rocks, प्राकृतवानरांश्च common monkeys, जहार attracted, बाहूरुवेगोद्धतसम्प्रणुन्नाः by the speed of his arms and thighs, ते they, क्षीणवेगाः speed reduced, सलिले rocks, निपेतुः fell.

By the speed of his arms and thighs clusters of branches of trees, mountains, rocks, and common monkeys were attracted, and with reduction of speed along the way the rocks fell.
तौप्रसार्योरगभोगकल्पौभुजौभुजङ्गारिनिकाशवीर्यः ।

जगाममेरुंनगराजमग्य्रंदिशःप्रकर्षन्निववायुसूनुः ।।6.74.51।।


भुजङ्गारिनिकाशवीर्यः whose valour equalled Garuda enemy of serpents, सःवायुसूनुः that son of wind god, उरगभोगकल्पौ resembling coils of serpents, भुजौ arms, प्रसार्य stretching, दिशः directions, प्रकर्षन्निव as if attracting, अग्य्रम् summit, मेरुम् Meru, नगराजम् king of mountains, जगाम went.

Stretching his arms which resembled coils of serpents, whose valour equalled Garuda, enemy of serpents, as if attracting all the directions went to the summit of the foremost mountain which equalled Meru mountain.
स सागरंघूर्णितवीचिमालंतथाभृशंभ्रामितसर्वसत्त्वम् ।

समीक्षमाणस्सहसाजगामचक्रंयथाविष्णुकराग्रमुक्तम् ।।6.74.52।।


सः he, घूर्णितवीचिमालम् whose waves were made to revolve, तथा that way, अभृशम् exceedingly, भ्रामितसर्वसत्त्वम् whose creatures were made to whirl round, सागरम् ocean, समीक्षमाणः observing, सहसा violently, विष्णुकराग्रमुक्तम् loosened from Vishnu's hand, चक्रंयथा like the wheel of Vishnu, जगाम went.

Observing the ocean whose waves were made to revolve round (by his speed), exceedingly, whose creatures were made to whirl round violently (by the wind force generated by his speed), he went forth like the wheel loosened from Vishnu's hand.
स पर्वतान्वृक्षगवान् सरांसिनदीस्तटाकानिपुरोत्तमानि ।

स्फीतान् जनान्तानपिसम्प्रवीक्ष्यजगामवेगापतितृतुल्यवेगः ।।6.74.53।।


पितृतुल्यवेगः like his father in speed, सः he, पर्वतान् mountains, वृक्षगवान् trees, सरांसि birds, नदीः rivers, तटाकानि tanks, पुरोत्तमानि best of cities, तान् them, स्फीतान् prosperous, जनान्तान् अपि people, सम्प्रवीक्ष्य watching, वेगात् speedily, जगाम went.

Watching the mountains, trees, birds, rivers, tanks, the best of cities, all of them and prosperous people, he went at his father's speed.
आदित्यपथमाश्रित्यजगाम स गतक्लमः ।

हनूमांस्त्वरितोवीरःपितृतुल्यपराक्रमः ।।6.74.54।।


पितुः father, तुल्यपराक्रमः equal in prowess, वीरः heroic, सःहनुमान् that Hanuman, गतक्लमः unwearied, त्वरितः hurriedly, आदित्यपथम् the path of the Sun, आश्रित्य following, जगाम went.

Hanuman who was equal to his father in prowess, went unwearied, hurriedly in the path of the Sun.
जवेनमहतायुक्तोमारुतिर्मारुतोयथा ।

जगामहरिशार्दूलोदिशश्शब्देनपूरयन् ।।6.74.55।।


हरिशार्दूलः tiger among monkeys, मारुतिः Maruthi, मारुतोयथा like the wind, महता great, जवेन speed, युक्तः possessing, शब्देन sound, दिशः in all directions, पूरयन् filling, जगाम went.

Maruthi, the tiger among monkeys went like the wind possessing great speed filling sound in all directions.
स्म्मरन्जाम्बवतोवाक्यंमारुतिर्वातरंहसा ।

ददर्शसहसागत्वाहिमवन्तंमहाकपिः ।।6.74.56।।


वातरंहसा going at wind speed, महाकपिः great monkey, मारुतिः Maruthi, जाम्बवतः Jambavantha, वाक्यम् words, स्मरन् remembering, सहसागत्वा reaching speedily, हिमवन्तम् Himalayas, ददर्श sighted.

Going at wind speed, the great monkey Maruthi, remembering Jambavantha's words, reached and sighted the Himalayas.
नानाप्रस्रवणोपेतंनानाकन्दरनिर्घरम् ।

श्वेताभ्रचयसङ्काशैशशिखरैश्चारुदर्शनैः ।।6.74.57।।

शोभितंविविधैर्वृक्षैरगमत्पर्वतोत्तमम् ।


नानाप्रस्रवणोपेतम् adorned with different springs, बहुकंदरनिर्घरम् many caves and cascares, श्वेताभ्रचयसङ्काशैः like masses of white clouds, चारुदर्शनैः beautiful to look at, शिखरैः peak, विविधैः several, वृक्षैः trees, शोभितम् graced with splendour, पर्वतोत्तमम् foremost of mountains, अगमत् reached.

He reached the foremost of mountains, which was adorned with different kinds of springs, many caves and cascades and graced with trees. The peaks were like masses of white autumn clouds graced with splendour and beautiful to look at.
स तंसमासाद्यमहानगेन्द्रमतिप्रवृद्धोत्तमघोरशृङ्गम् ।

ददर्शपुण्यानिमहाश्रमाणिसुरर्षिसंघोत्तमसेवितानि ।।6.74.58।।


सः he, अतिप्रवृद्धोत्तमघोरशृङ्गम् tall and terrifying peaks, तंमहानगेन्द्रम् that Lord of mountains, समासाद्य reaching, सुररिसंघोत्तमसेवितानि frequented by Devatas and sages पुण्यानि meritorious, महाश्रमाणि hermitages, ददर्श saw.

Reaching there he saw the tall and terrifying peaks of the Lord of mountains frequented by Devatas and sages, meritorious hermitages.
स ब्रह्मकोशंरजतालयं च शक्रालयंरुद्रशरप्रमोक्षम् ।

हयाननंब्रह्मशिरश्चदीप्तंददर्शवैवस्वतकिङ्करांश्च ।।6.74.59।।


सः he, भ्रह्मकोशम् seat of Brahma, रजतालयं च the abode of Rajathanabha, शक्रालयम् abode of Indra, रुद्रशरप्रमोक्षम् the location from which Rudra discharged an arrow (at Tripura), हयाननं Lord Hayagriva, दीप्तम् glowing, ब्रह्मशिरः च abode of the deity presiding over Brahmastra, वैवस्वतकिङ्करांश्च Vyvasvatah's attendants, ददर्श witnessed.

He saw the seat of Brahma, the abode of Rajathanabha, the abode of Indra, the location from which Rudra discharged an arrow (at Tripura), the abode of Lord Hayagriva, and glowing abode of the deity presiding over Brahmastra and Vyvasvatah's attendants.
वज्रालयंवैश्रवणालयं च सूर्यप्रभंसूर्यनिबन्धनंच ।

ब्रह्मासनंशङ्करकार्मुकं च ददर्शनाभिं च वसुन्धरायाः ।।6.74.60।।


वज्रालयम् Vajralayaam (where Brahma gave Indra thunderbolt), सूर्यप्रभम् shining like the Sun, वैश्रवणालयं च the abode of Kubera, सूर्यनिबन्धनं च the spot where Sun was bound, ब्रह्मासनम् Brahma's abode, शङ्करकार्मुकं च the abode of the bow belonging to Lord Siva, वसुन्धरायाः the earth's, नाभिं च navel, ददर्श saw.

He saw Vajralayam (where Brahma gave Indra the thunderbolt), the abode of Kubera shining like the Sun, the spot where the Sun was bound, Brahma's abode and the abode of the bow of Lord Siva, and the earth navel.
कैलासमग्य्रंहिमवच्छिलां च तथर्षभंकाञ्चनशैलमग्य्रम् ।

सन्दीप्तसर्वौषधिसन्प्रदीप्तंददर्शसर्वौषधिपर्वतेन्द्रम् ।।6.74.61।।


उग्रम् elevated Siva, कैलासम् Kailas, हिमवच्छिलां च rocks of Himavat, तथा that way, ऋषभम् Rshaba, अग्य्रम् foremost काञ्चनशैलम् golden mountain, सन्दीप्तसर्वौषधिसम्प्रदीप्तम् glowing medicinal herbs illumining, सर्वौषधिपर्वतेन्द्रम् great mountain on which all medicinal herbs were, ददर्श saw.

He saw Kailas, the rocks of Himalayas, that way on the Rshaba the foremost Lord Siva, the golden mountain, and the great mountain on which grew, glowing medicinal herbs.
स तंसमीक्ष्यानलरश्मिदीप्तंविसिष्मियेवासवदूतसूनुः ।

आवृत्यतंचौषधिपर्वतेन्द्रंतत्रौषधीनांविचयंचकार ।।6.74.62।।


सः he, अनलरश्मिदीप्तम् blazing like fire, तम् those, समीक्ष्य observed, विसिष्मिये astonished, ओषधिपर्वतेन्द्रम् mountain filled with herbs, आवृत्य going round, तत्र there, ओषधीनाम् names of herbs, विचयम् thinking, चकार went.

Observing the herbs blazing like fire, he was astonished at the herbs on the mountain and went round thinking of the names of herbs (asked by Jambavan).
सयोजनसहस्राणिसमतीत्यमहाकपिः ।

दिव्यौषधिधरंशैलंव्यचरन्मारुतात्मजः ।।6.74.63।।


महाकपिः great monkey, सःमारुतात्मजः that son of wind god, योजनसहस्राणि a thousand yojanas, समतीत्य having travelled, दिव्यौषधिधरम् began to range the wonderful herbs, शैलम् mountain, व्यचरत् went about searching.

The great monkey, son of the wind god, having traversed a thousand yojanas began to range the wonderful herbs and went about searching.
महौषध्यस्ततस्सर्वास्तस्मिन् पर्वतसत्तमे ।

विज्ञायार्थिनमायान्तंततोजग्मुरदर्शनम् ।।6.74.64।।


ततः then, तस्मिन् in that, पर्वतसत्तमे wonderful mountain, सर्वाः all over, महौषध्यः among the herbs, अर्थिनम् seeker, आयान्तम् coming, विज्ञाय perceiving, ततः those, अदर्शनम् disappeared, जग्मुः disappeared.

Perceiving a seeker coming for them, the herbs all over the wonderful mountain disappeared.
स तामहात्माहनुमानपश्यंश्चुकोपकोपाच्चभृशंननाद ।

अमृष्यमाणोऽनगिनिकाशचक्षुर्महीधरेन्द्रंतमुवाचवाक्यम् ।।6.74.65।।


महात्मा great soul, सःहनुमान् that Hanuman, ताः those, अपश्यन् not able to see, चुकोप became angry, कोपात् in anger, भृशम् jumping up, ननाद च roared, अनगिनिकाशचक्षुः eyes burning like like, अमृष्यमाणः , तम् , महीधरेन्द्रम् to the lordly mountain, वाक्यम् words, उवाच said.

The great soul Hanuman was not able to see, those herbs, became angry and his eyes were burning like fire in anger. He jumped up and roared and said to the lordly mountain.
कीमेतदेवंसुविनिश्चितंतेयद्राघवेनासिकृतानुकम्प ।

पश्याद्यमद्बाहुबलाभिभूतोविकीर्णमात्मानमथोनगेन्द्र ।।6.74.66।।


नगेन्द्र king of mountains, राघवे to Raghava, कृतानुकम्पः compassionate, न असिइतियत् not showing this way, एतत् all this, एवम् in that way, ते you, सुविनिश्चितंकिम् your determination, अथो is it, अद्य now, मद्बाहुबलाभिभूतः overcome by my shoulder strength, आत्मानम्? myself, विकीर्णम् crush, पश्य you may see.

"O King of mountains! You are not showing compassion to Raghava. Is it your determination to be like this? Overcome by my shoulder strength I shall crush you now. You may see."
स तस्यशृङ्गंसनगंसनागंसकाञ्चनंधातुसहस्रजुष्टम् ।

विकीर्णकूटंज्वलिताग्रसानुंप्रगृह्यवेगात्सहसोन्ममाथ ।।6.74.67।।


सः he, तस्य its, सनगम् trees, सनागम् elephants, सकाञ्चनम् with gold mines, धातुसहस्रजुष्टम् thousands of minerals, विकीर्णकूटम् crushed projections, ज्वलिताग्रसानुम् set fire and burn the peaks, शृङ्गम् peak, प्रगृह्य seizing, साहसा vehemently, वेगात् swiftly, उन्ममाथ uprooted.

Seizing hold of the peaks vehemently, its trees, elephants, gold mines withthousands of minerals he crushed the projections and set fire and burnt and uprooted swiftly.
सतसमुत्पाट्यखमुत्पपातवित्रास्यलोकान् ससुरासुरेन्द्रान् ।

संस्तूयमानःखचरैरनेकैर्जगामवेगाद्गरुडोग्रवेगः ।।6.74.68।।


सः he, तम् them, समुत्पाट्य striking terror, ससुरासुरेन्द्रान् leaders, Devatas and demons, लोकान् world, वित्रास्य inhabiting, खम् sky, उत्पापात uprooting, अनेकैः many, खचरैः aerial creatures, संस्तूयमानः praised, गरुडोग्रवेगः at terrible speed of Garuda, वेगात् hurried, जगाम went.

Striking terror among Devatas and demons and leaders inhabiting the world, uprooting the mountain he hurried at Garuda's speed into the sky praised by aerial creatures.
स भास्कराध्वानमनुप्रपन्नस्तंभास्कराभंशिखरंप्रगृह्य ।

बभौतदाभास्करसन्निकाशोरवेस्समीपेप्रतिभास्कराभः ।।6.74.69।।


भास्करसन्निकाशः resembling Sun, सः he, भास्कराभम् radiant like Sun, तंशिखरम् that top, प्रगृह्य taking, भास्कराध्वानम् in the vicinity of Sun, अनुप्रपन्नः betaking himself, तदा then, रवेः Sun, समीपे close, प्रतिभास्कराभः another sun like, बभौ seemed.

Resembling the Sun closely, radiant like the Sun he was taking the top of the mountain, betaking himself in the vicinity of the Sun he was like another Sun.
स तेनशैलेनभृशंरराजशैलोपमोगन्धवहात्मजस्तु ।

सहस्रधारेणसपावकेनचक्रेणखेविष्णुरिवार्पितेन ।।6.74.70।।


शैलापमः that crag, सः he, गन्धवहात्मजः son of wind god, तेनशैलेन with that crag, खे sky, अर्पितेन setting upon, सहस्रधारेण with thousand edges, सपावकेन with flaming fire, चक्रेण wheel, विष्णुरिव like Vishnu, भृशम् delightful, रराजshining.

He, the son of the wind god sitting upon the crag, was delightful like Vishnu with a flaming wheel shining.
तंवानराःप्रेक्ष्यविनेदुरुच्चैस्सतानपिप्रेक्ष्यमुदाननाद ।

तेषांसमुध्घुष्टरवंनिशम्यलङ्कालयाभीमतरंविनेदुः ।।6.74.71।।


उच्चैः high, वानराः Vanaras, तं they, प्रेक्ष्य seeing, विनेदुः joyful, सःपि he also, तान् them, प्रेक्ष्य seeing, ननाद roared, तेषाम् their समुध्घुष्टरवम् raising loud noise, निशम्य Rakshasas becoming aware, लङ्कालयाः of Lanka, भीमतरम् terrible fear, विनेदुः roar.

Observing him high the Vanaras became joyful, and he also saw them. Hearing their loud noise becoming aware of the Rakshasas of Lanka also roared in terrible fear.
ततोमहात्मानिपपाततस्मिन् शैलोत्तमेवानरसैन्यमथ्ये ।

हर्युत्तमेभ्यशशिरसाऽभिवाद्यविभीषणंतत्र स सस्वजे च ।।6.74.72।।


ततः then, महात्मा great, तस्मिन् with that, शैलोत्तमे foremost mountain, वानरसैन्यमध्ये in the midst of Vanara army, निपपात descended, सः he, हर्युत्तमेभ्यः best of Vanaras, शिरसा head bent down, अभिवाद्य greeting, तत्र there, विभीषणम् ? Vibheeshana, सस्वजे च embraced.

The great Hanuman along with the mountain descended in the midst of the Vanara army, and greeted the army head bent down and embraced Vibheeshana standing there.
तावप्युभौमानुषराजपुत्रौतंगन्धमाघ्रायमहौषधीनाम् ।

बभूवतुस्तत्रतदाविशल्यावुत्तस्थुरन्ये च हरिप्रवीराः ।।6.74.73।।


तौ the two, मानुषराजपुत्रौ sons of ruler of men, उभौ both, महौषधीनाम् of the great herbs, तंगन्धम् that fragrance, आघ्राय inhaling, तदा then, विशल्यौ free from wounds, बभूवतुः restored, अन्ये others, हरिप्रहीराश्च Vanara heroes, उत्तस्थुः got up.

The two sons of the ruler of men inhaling the fragrance of the herbs became free from wounds. Other Vanara heroes also got restored.
सर्वेविशल्याविरुजाःक्षणेनहरिप्रवीराश्चहताश्चयेस्युः ।

गन्धेनतासांप्रवरौषधीनांसुप्तानिशान्तेष्विवसम्प्रबुद्धाः ।।6.74.74।।


सर्वे all, ये those, हरिप्रवीराः Vanara warriors, हताः killed, स्युः instant, तासाम् their, प्रवरौषधीनाम् rid of their pain, गन्धेन by the fragrance, क्षणेन in seconds, विशल्याः restored, विरुजाः life, सुप्ताः asleep, निशान्तेष्विव from sleep, सम्प्रबुद्धाः will get up when fully awake.

All those Vanara warriors killed were restored with life instantly by the fragrance. Those who were asleep also got up when they became fully awake.
दाप्रभृतिलङ्कायांयुध्यन्तेहरिराक्षसाः ।

तदाप्रभृतिमानार्थमाज्ञयारावणस्य च ।।6.74.75।।

येहन्यन्तेरणेतत्रराक्षसाःकपिकुञ्जरैः ।

हताहतास्तुक्षिप्यन्तेसर्वएवतुसागरे ।।6.74.76।।


यदाप्रभृति from the beginning, लङ्कायाम् in Lanka, हरिराक्षसाः monkeys and Rakshasas, युध्यन्ते at the end of war, तदाप्रभृति in the same way without exception, मानार्थम् means of proof, रावणस्य Ravana's, आज्ञया instruction, तत्ररणे there in war, ये those, राक्षसाः Rakshasas, कपिकुञ्जरैः Vanara leaders, हन्यन्ते killed, सर्वेएवतु all of them, हताःहताः then and there, सागरे ocean, क्षिप्यन्ते thrown.

From the beginning of the war in Lanka till the end without exception, all the Rakshasas were killed in war by the Vanara leaders then and there were thrown into the ocean by Ravana's instruction, not to have means of proof.
ततोहरिर्गन्धवहात्मजस्तुतमोषधीशैलमुदग्रवेगः ।

निनायवेगाद्धिमवन्तमेवपुनश्चरामेणसमाजगाम ।।6.74.77।।


ततः then, उदग्रवेगः sprung from, गन्धवहात्मजः son of wind god, हरिः Vanara, तम् those, ओषधीशैलम् mountain of herbs, वेगात् hurriedly, हिमवन्तमेव to Himalayasagain, निनाय returned, पुनश्च again, रामेण with Rama, समाजगाम once again ajoined.

The son of the wind god sprung from there hurriedly took the mountain of herbs to Himalayas and returned and joined Rama.
